Maryland Medical Rehab. P.C., is a Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation practice of physicians founded
in 1994 in Baltimore, Maryland, by Doriscine Colley, MD,
RPT. an ABPM&R Fellow.
Dr. Colley
recognized the need to develop a flexible business model that would
allow her to travel to multiple outpatient centers. For this model
to succeed, the patients complete medical record had to also become
portable. Thus began the multi-year development effort of the first
Physical Medicine Software System, Maryland Medical System / 2
(MEDSYS2).
MEDSYS2 Inc. was founded in 2001 as an independent
entity solely focused on electronic medical systems. To
date MEDSYS2 has been successfully implemented throughout
the United States and Canada in hospitals, outpatient
centers and subacute rehab facilities.
