MEDSYS2 contains over 100 screens, some with
multiple panels and various views, that are
available to users based on their security access
privileges. Despite its extensive composition,
MEDSYS2 is extremely user friendly. The Client
Management System (CMS) is the central location for
accessing all the systems and subsystems of MEDSYS2.
This is done by using the navigation tools on the
Menu Bar, Toolbars and Panels of the CMS Main
Screen.
The five Panels of the CMS Main Screen (above) are
used to collect and maintain vital information on
each patient. The five panels are Client, Key
Information, Demographics, Employer, and Emergency
Contact. These panels also include command buttons
that allow the user to access maintenance systems
and subsystems that help manage the patients' case.
Wireless
MEDSYS2 utilizes
an 802.11 networking for local access, but also is compatible
with cradle proxy networking for areas where a network
signal can not be received.
While away
from the office or hospital, MEDSYS2 can connect with
wireless 1X, CDPD, or any of the new G3 cellular services.
Compatibility
MEDSYS2 can
interface with any ODBC compliant database system. Patient
demographics can be extracted from HL-7 record layouts
used by the Pocket PC charting system.
